Claiming alignment with all seventeen goals says nothing. These seven are the ones where a deployed Amanow installation produces a measurable effect.

Drinking water produced on sites with no network connection, and sanitary use covered alongside it.

Footprint

What we do not claim

Producing water from air consumes energy, considerably more per cubic metre than pumping from a network. That is the honest trade-off of the technology, and it decides which comparison is fair.

What Amanow is not
  • A low-impact alternative to a functioning network
  • A reason to postpone a planned connection
  • A solution for irrigation or industrial process water
What Amanow is
  • The alternative to trucking water over long distances
  • The alternative to bottled water, litre for litre
  • The alternative to having no reliable supply at all

Where a connection exists or is planned, it wins, and we say so. On the sites we equip, none of the three alternatives above is low-impact either: that is the comparison that applies.

Measurement

What we will publish, and when

Contribution claims are worth what the measurements behind them are worth. The proof of concept measures four indicators. Each will be published with its method, its date and its source.

Goal 6 Water produced on site m³ per year measured from the proof of concept
Goal 12 Bottled water displaced litres per year measured against the previous supply
Goal 13 Water trucking avoided deliveries per year measured against the previous supply
Goal 17 Local operators trained people per site recorded at handover

None of these figures is published yet. The proof of concept under way at a public university in Morocco is what will produce the first set.
